At the National Association of Left Handed Golfers of Australia (NALGA) we promote a social environment for left handed golfers and their right handed partners and friends to enjoy social activities and golfing events, locally, nationally and internationally. NALG Australia (NALGA) is the National Association formed to foster and promote the game of golf for left handed golfers in Australia. Details on the role of NALGA can be found at www.lefthandedgolfaustralia.com.
Membership is open to all left-handed golfers who are full playing members or associate members of golf clubs affiliated with the Australian Golf Union or a State Golf Union and who hold an official recognized handicap.
We currently have ten Divisions being Far North Queensland, Queensland, Northern Rivers, NSW, ACT, Riverina, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia We also have a National Executive that supports all Divisions and promotes the Association on a national and international level.
The Northern Rivers NSW Division was formed in 1987. The Division covers an area from the NSW-QLD border to the north, Coffs Harbour to the south and Kyogle to the west and beyond.
Our Division organizes an event every month on a different course within the Northern Rivers and also Divisional Championships are played each year. We encourage golfers of all standards and particularly encourage our members to invite right-handed friends to join us. In all our events we try to incorporate our Committee values and objectives, of which an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere is top of the list. One of our annual events is an Interclub Competition with the Queensland Division, which always provides a good time and some friendly rivalry.
We are blessed with a wonderful Committee that is committed to the success of the Division, which is easy when we call some of the most picturesque courses in Australia home.
